During your assessment, Dr Desai will carry out an extensive sleep questionnaire with you, alongside a thorough physical exam of your jaw and dental health. Dr Desai will also perform radiographs if necessary and take into account your medical, clinical and social history to help determine an appropriate diagnostic evaluation.
Aditi will outline in detail a personalised treatment plan, recommending the best course of treatment to help you enjoy a better night’s sleep, allowing you to feel more energised throughout the day.

Sadly, dental phobia affects one in four of us, placing your oral health on hold which can have its consequences for other aspects of your health. While most phobias are irrational or excessive, in some situations what is termed “dental phobia” may be based on a previous bad or traumatic experience with dentistry.
With Dr Desai, both her practice environments aim to provide a positive atmosphere to reduce negative associations with dentistry. Putting your comfort and confidence first is priority; Aditi’s empathetic and unhurried consultations will put you at ease and enable you to approach dentistry without fear.
If you have a fear of the dentist, it is still important to visit one for the sake of your teeth. Finding an understanding dentist with a good bedside manner is key to overcoming your fear. As with many situational phobias, the way to treat the fear is to face it.
Some tips for doing this include:
- Visit the practice to meet the dentist and staff before your first check-up
- Book your first appointment early in the morning to reduce the time you spend beforehand dwelling on it
- Have a friend or family member go with you to the appointment
